ISMG's panelists unpacked dozens of interviews so far at RSA, and a lot of the buzz at the conference is about who in the executive suite should be in charge of security and privacy issues related to the large-scale use of generative AI tools - the CIO, chief risk officer or perhaps the CISO? "Who is better qualified than the security leader, technically, when it comes to managing AI? And this is a huge opportunity for them," said Anna Delaney, director of productions at ISMG.
The panelists - Delaney; Michael Novinson, editor, ISMG business; and Tom Field, senior vice president, editorial - discussed:
- Emerging use cases for AI in security from investors, analysts and vendors and the debate about how to handle AI governance, security and privacy in today's enterprises;
- Insights from an interview with Phil Venables, CISO of Google Cloud, about efforts to help organizations build cyber resiliency and secure emerging technologies;
- The growing trend of security organizations turning to managed security services providers and managed detection and response to fill gaps in security.
